The Saddest Thing I've Ever Seen
There are two slightly-deflated mylar balloons tied together. One is more deflated than the other one. They are stuck on the roof of the building that my window looks out on. The one that is less deflated is still floating; the one that is more deflated is laying on the roof, dead to the world.
The one that's still floating is dragging around the other one. Right now, they are frantically floating in circles. The wind is pushing them around, but it looks like the floating balloon is trying to wake up the one that is laying on the roof--to try and get it to fight for its life or something. At times, the one that's still floating gets tired and looks like it's resting its head on the roof.
It is much better than than the bag from American Beauty, because there is brightly colored plastic and no video camera to record it.
I think they will be trapped on the roof together until both of them deflate.
Metaphor, anyone?
